Spiral Stage Theatre Group is now forming its
Volunteer Council which will consist of a variety of
volunteer teams with differing duties that all work
together to help make Spiral Stage Theatre Group run
smoothly and successfully. Volunteers will donate
their time to the non-profit organization and in
exchange will receive deep discounts off regularly
priced tickets to our shows as well as recognition
for their contributions on our website and in our
playbill.
Volunteer Teams include:
INFORMATION / TICKET AGENTS
Volunteers who are comfortable pointing and clicking
on their computer can participate from home, using
their own computer and high-speed internet
connection to take customer calls and process ticket
orders. Our ticketing system (Ticket Turtle) is easy
to learn and use. We will forward incoming calls
regarding ticket sales and general information to
your phone on defined hours. If you love talking to
people and want to help and prefer to work from your
home, this team is perfect. We'll also need ticket
agents at the venue to sell tickets for that
performance and future shows.
BOUTIQUE MANAGEMENT & SALES
We plan to have a small boutique in the lobby during
performances offering t-shirts, caps and other
themed merchandise for sale. Volunteers on this team
will help us coordinate the purchasing and sale of
these items to our patrons. Boutique items can also
be placed for sale on our website as well and then
shipped to buyers. This team is for those with an
entrepreneurial spirit.
PRODUCTION ASSOCIATES
Assistance will be needed in building and painting
scenery, gathering props, sewing or shopping for
costumes, running errands and more. This team needs
hands-on individuals who can anticipate needs and
who love to see a vision come to life on stage.
MARKETING / DEVELOPMENT
ASSOCIATES
Our Marketing and Development Departments often need
assistance in making phone calls, running errands,
researching avenues of communication, preparing
mailings and more. This important team would help
as-needed either meeting together or functioning
autonomously on a project. If you are interested in
the world of Marketing or Fundraising, this team is
for you.
Each team will have a chair that will oversee the
team and meet with other chairs. One of the chairs
will function as Volunteer Coordinator that will
become a member of our Board of Directors.
Internships are also available. We are interested in
developing relationships with different schools for
internship collaborations. Spiral Stage will work
with your education institution regarding evaluation
and credit.
